Turkmenistan held a conference on the 30th anniversary of neutrality in Bucharest

The Embassy of Turkmenistan in Romania organized an international conference "Turkmenistan's Path of Neutrality: 30 Years of Commitment to Peace and Stability" at the National University of Science and Technology Polytechnic in Bucharest. Arzuw.news reports with reference to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The event took place today and was timed to coincide with three significant dates: 30th anniversary of the proclamation of permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan, 34th anniversary of the country's independence and the declaration of 2025 as the International Year of Peace and Confidence on the initiative of Turkmenistan.

The conference was attended by diplomats, representatives of Romanian state structures, academia and students. Professor Mihnea Costoiu, Rector of the University, made a welcoming speech and emphasized the importance of Turkmenistan's neutrality and its peace-loving policy.

The main report was presented by Turkmenistan's Ambassador to Romania A. Annaev. The diplomat noted that neutrality is a cornerstone of Turkmenistan's foreign policy and has been confirmed three times by the UN General Assembly.

The conference participants discussed the prospects for the development of Turkmen-Romanian relations, including the Caspian Sea-Black Sea transport corridor project and cooperation in energy, digital technologies and ecology.

The event ended with a cultural program with an exhibition and tasting of national Turkmen dishes.
