Cultural figures were awarded in Ashgabat in honor of Turkmenistan's Independence Day

An official ceremony dedicated to the 34th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence was held in Ashgabat. During the event, artists were honored with state awards and the winners of the presidential prize "Golden Age of Turkmenistan" were announced. Information reports MIC. 

On the instructions of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the awards were presented by the Chairman of the Mejlis and deputy prime ministers. In accordance with the decrees of the head of state, the citizens received medals "Courage" and "For Love for the Fatherland" for many years of honest labor, high professionalism and special merits.

A number of figures were awarded honorary titles, including "People's Artist of Turkmenistan", "Honored Worker of Education", "Honored Journalist" and others. The contribution of elders who received the title "Honorary Elder of the People" was separately recognized, and a group of women were awarded the Order "Women's Soul".

The purpose of the annual project is to support national culture and identify new talents. The ceremony ended with a festive concert with the participation of award-winning artists and creative groups.
