Embassy of Turkmenistan in Astana organized an action in honor of Independence Day

On September 25, 2025, a solemn event was held in Astana at the monument to the classic of Turkmen literature Makhtumkuli Fraghi on the occasion of the 34th anniversary of Turkmenistan's Independence. The event was organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Kazakhstan. It is reported online edition "Turkmenistan: The Golden Age."

The ceremony was attended by the staff of the diplomatic mission, representatives of the city authorities and Turkmen students studying at universities in Kazakhstan. The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Kazakhstan B. Rejepov made a speech. In his speech, the diplomat emphasized the friendship and cooperation between the peoples who share common historical and cultural roots.

The key moment of the action was laying flowers at the monument of Makhtumkuli Fraghi. The students recited poems of the poet in two languages.

Festive events were also held in Almaty and Aktau, where consular offices of Turkmenistan took up the baton. A striking part of the programs were performances of the national dance "Kushtdepdi" in iconic locations of the cities. The performances embodied the idea of peace and trust proclaimed in the current international year.
