IV International Chemistry Olympiad started in Ashgabat

The IV International Chemistry Olympiad among students has started in Ashgabat on the basis of the Turkmen State University named after Makhtumkuli. The intellectual competitions, which will last from October 15 to 17, will be held in the face-to-face format in Turkmen, Russian and English languages. This is reported by the Internet edition "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

No more than four undergraduate and specialized students with one supervisor are represented from each university. The winners will be determined by personal results and will be awarded diplomas and medals.

The Olympiad is attended by 100 students from 24 foreign universities, including universities of Russia, China, Italy, Iran, Great Britain and other countries, as well as 150 students from 23 Turkmen higher schools.

The panel of judges included professors and specialists from Turkmenistan and abroad, including independent experts from Japan. According to the organizers, the event will contribute to strengthening friendly ties between students and allow young people to improve their knowledge in chemistry.
