Ashgabat, July 3. At an extended session of the Government of Turkmenistan, President Berdymukhamedov dismissed Deputy Prime Minister B. Abdyeva from her post. Also, the Chairman of the State Committee on Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography M. Garlyev was deprived of his post for serious shortcomings in his work. This was reported on the air of the program "Vatan".
It should be recalled that at the end of May this year, Deputy Prime Minister B. Abdyeva was given a "strict reprimand with a final warning" for improper performance of her official duties and shortcomings in the work of the mass media. Abdyeva was instructed by the President to correct the shortcomings as soon as possible.
Deputy Hakim of Mary velayat M. Mammedova was appointed the new deputy prime minister for culture and media. The post of chairman of the State Committee for Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography was taken by A. Ashirov, who previously held the post of deputy chairman of the State Information Agency of Turkmenistan.
