A meeting with Turkmen students studying in Minsk was held in the building of the Turkmen Embassy in Belarus in honor of Turkmenistan's Independence Day and the 300th anniversary of the birth of Makhtumkuli Fraghi. This is reported by the online edition "Westiabad."
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Belarus Nazarguly Shagulyev made a speech at the event. He noted the country's achievements over the years of independence, the significance of the implemented programs and reforms in the field of economy and education.
The Ambassador told the students about the events being prepared at the international level to mark the 300th anniversary of the birth of Makhtumkuli Fraghi, emphasizing that the year 2024 in Turkmenistan has been declared the year of "Treasure of the Mind of Makhtumkuli Fraghi". The students were shown videos about the achievements of the country and the creative heritage of the Turkmen poet.
