Delegates of Turkmenistan addressed the 97th session of the Committee on the Rights of the Child

On August 28, a Turkmen delegation headed by the Permanent Representative of the UN Office in Geneva presented a report on the country's achievements in this field at the 97th session of the Committee on the Rights of the Child. This was reported by the Internet edition "Türkmenistan habarlar portaly".

Turkmenistan's delegates include representatives of the Ministries of Interior, Education, Health and Medical Industry, staff of the General Prosecutor's Office and the Institute of State, Law and Democracy of Turkmenistan.

Turkmenistan's national report provides information on the improvement of legislation on children's rights. It was noted that in the period from 2015 to 2024 Turkmenistan joined a number of international documents in this area. The country's delegates also spoke about achievements under the Ministry of Health's "Health" program. Practical steps to improve the country's educational system were noted, such as improving training programs and modernizing preschool education.
