As part of the BOMCA 10 program, the European Union launched a large-scale educational project for entrepreneurs in Turkmenistan's border regions. The initiative, implemented through the country's Union of Economists, aims to strengthen trade ties with neighboring Uzbekistan.
The first phase of the project was successfully launched in Dashoguz province, where 77 young entrepreneurs have already received comprehensive training by the end of 2024. The program included intensive trainings on developing business skills and mastering digital technologies. In 2025, it is planned to expand the geography of the project to Lebap province.
The initiative will feature direct contacts with businessmen from the Khorezm region of Uzbekistan. The organizers are creating a platform for the exchange of experience between entrepreneurs of the two countries, which should contribute to the development of cross-border trade.
"We see great potential in the development of cross-border cooperation. Our task is to help local entrepreneurs to realize it effectively," said the project representative.
Experts predict that thanks to the knowledge and skills acquired, the program participants will be able to significantly improve the competitiveness of their business and increase their income through the development of cross-border trade.
