WCO Secretary General meets with the Chairman of the Customs Service of Turkmenistan

On the occasion of the 32nd anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence, Secretary General of the World Customs Organization Kunio Mikuriya paid a visit to Ashgabat. During the visit, he met with the chairman of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan. This is reported by the online publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

The foreign guest was familiarized with the activities of the Turkmen Customs Service and the application of advanced technologies in the process of customs clearance, as well as visited the Situation Center of the Customs Service, where he left a note in the memorial book for honored guests.

During the meeting, it was noted that Turkmenistan has joined four customs conventions over the past two years and also participates in the WCO Career Development Program for 2023-2024. The Parties positively assessed the experience of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the WCO over the past 30 years.
