The Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan held a meeting with the Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia

On April 9, Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov met with a delegation headed by Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia Shalva Papuashvili. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During the meeting, the sides noted that meetings at the level of Heads of State and Government are of particular importance in strengthening interstate ties. Prospects for the development of cooperation in political and diplomatic, cultural and humanitarian, trade and economic spheres were discussed.

The sides stressed the fruitful nature of interaction within the framework of international organizations. The sides emphasized the importance of the activities of the bilateral Intergovernmental Turkmen-Georgian Commission on Economic Cooperation. Transportation, energy and trade were identified as priority areas of cooperation.
