Turkmen Foreign Minister reports on the results of work for 9 months

Head of the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov presented a report on the results of work for 9 months of the current year at a government meeting on October 4. This is reported by the Internet edition "CentralAsia.news".

During the Cabinet of Ministers meeting, a report on the participation of the Turkmen delegation in the 79th session of the UN General Assembly in New York was presented. Rashid Meredov said that Turkmenistan outlined its position on such topics as global security, sustainable development and climate issues. The Minister also presented the country's initiatives in the field of UN peacekeeping.

The Turkmen delegation proposed the Global Framework for Transition to a Circular Economy, the Global Atlas of Sustainable Transport Connectivity, and the establishment of the Alliance for Global Energy Security and Sustainable Development. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov gave instructions to the Foreign Minister to take measures aimed at strengthening cooperation with the UN.
