Humanitarian mission is a priority of Turkmenistan's policy

Cooperation in the humanitarian sphere is one of the priority directions of Turkmenistan's foreign policy. The Westiabad online edition with reference to the Greater Asia website, which released a large video about the country's humanitarian mission, tells about this.

It is noted that the course on humanitarian cooperation was set by the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and is being successfully implemented now by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. The Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charity Fund for Assistance to Children in Need of Care provides targeted assistance, including to children from low-income families.

In 2020, humanitarian aid was sent to Afghanistan; in 2023, the country provided support and assistance to the families of victims of a large-scale earthquake in Turkey. In 2024, Turkmenistan provided humanitarian assistance in the form of a free supply of natural gas to neighboring Kyrgyzstan after an accident at the Bishkek thermal power plant.

Humanitarian support enhances the authority of Turkmenistan in the world and embodies the ideals of humanism and justice, which is part of the traditions of the Turkmen people.
