Turkmenistan's Foreign Minister met with the IOM coordinator

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov met with the regional coordinator of the International Organization for Migration for Central Asia Zeynal Hajiyev on September 19, 2024. This is reported on the official website Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan.

The interlocutors discussed the current agenda of bilateral cooperation and identified priority tasks to expand cooperation. The importance of integrating international norms on migration management into the legislation of Turkmenistan and the importance of fruitful implementation of migration policy were noted. The parties noted the need to improve the legal framework for cooperation.

At the end of the meeting, mutual interest in expanding effective partnership was expressed.
