Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan meets with Italian Minister of Transport

As part of the working visit of the Turkmen delegation to Italy on March 20, 2024, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and Director General of the Agency of Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan M. Chakyev took part in talks with Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Infrastructure and Transport of Italy Matteo Salvini on Turkmen-Italian cooperation in the field of transport. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The meeting was also attended by representatives of specialized transport departments of Italy.
The topic of the talks was the expansion and deepening of bilateral Turkmen-Italian cooperation in the spheres of railway and maritime transportation. The meeting resulted in the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation between the ports of Turkmenbashi and Naples.
