On June 24, the President of Turkmenistan held a meeting with Vice President of the International Cycling Union (UCI), President of the Asian Cycling Confederation Osama Al Shafar. This was reported by the Internet publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".
The Vice President noted that the UCI is interested in increasing cooperation with Turkmenistan. The President of Turkmenistan expressed confidence that during the visit the guest would be able to familiarize himself with the development of cycling in the country.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on bilateral cooperation. Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that Osama Al Shafar is also the co-chairman of the Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group between Turkmenistan and the UAE, in connection with which interest was expressed in establishing fraternal relations between the UAE and Turkmenistan.
