A representative office of Russian Railways will open in Ashgabat

Representatives of the Russian Railways company paid a working visit to Ashgabat, during which they expressed their intention to open an official representative office of Russian Railways in the Turkmen capital. This was reported by the TurkmenPortal online edition.

During the meeting with representatives of the agency "Turkmendemiryollary" (Turkmen Railways), the parties discussed the development of transportation along the North-South route, as well as the reconstruction of the car repair plant in the city of Gyzylarbat and the launch of a new regional route Ashgabat-Arkadag.

Under the signed cooperation program, Russian Railways will assist in the training of specialists, digitalization of production processes, work in the field of logistics for the development of transport regional and international corridors, as well as electrification of Turkmen railroads.
