Seeds and machinery for sowing cotton are being prepared in Dashoguz province of Turkmenistan

In Dashoguz province, the cotton sowing campaign starts later than in other provinces of Turkmenistan, which is determined by climatic conditions and geographical location of this region. Currently, the preparation of machinery and planting material is being finalized in the region. This is reported in the material of the Internet publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

In 2023, farmers of Dashoguz province will sow 140 thousand hectares of agricultural plots with cotton, planning to harvest 275 thousand tons of products.

Much attention is paid to the preparation of special equipment - seeders, tractors, cultivators. Medium-fiber cotton varieties, most suitable for the climatic conditions of the region and meeting the high modern requirements of the textile industry in terms of strength and average fiber yield, have been prepared for spring sowing.
