On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's membership in UNESCO, today, August 17, the IMO of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan hosted a solemn conference and an exhibition dedicated to this date. This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The forum was attended by representatives of the relevant committees of the Turkmen parliament, ministries and agencies, representatives of diplomatic missions, public organizations and mass media.
During the speeches of the speakers of the conference it was noted that Turkmenistan is an active participant of the large-scale work on preservation of historical heritage, development of education and science, assertion of peace and harmony.
As a result of joint activities between Turkmenistan and UNESCO, the Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO has been enriched with "Turkmen embroidery art", "Silk weaving and traditional production of silk for weaving" and "Traditions of retelling the parable of Molla Ependi".
