Turkmenistan held a meeting with a delegation from Iran

A delegation from Iran led by Kazem Gharib-Abadi, the country's Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs, met with Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov at the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan on December 12. This is reported on the website of the country's foreign policy department. 

The central theme of the meeting was the development of effective bilateral cooperation between Iran and Turkmenistan in accordance with the principles of mutual respect and good neighborliness. Attention was paid to strengthening partnership relations in the trade and economic sphere, particularly in the energy and transportation sectors.

The sides noted the effectiveness of cooperation within the framework of regional and international organizations. The sides also emphasized the importance of the work of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between Iran and Turkmenistan.
