Turkmenistan has approved the National Action Plan on combating human trafficking for 2025-2029, which was adopted in accordance with the Decree of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. This is reported on the website Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan.
The plan developed by the Interdepartmental Commission on Combating Trafficking in Human Beings in Turkmenistan in cooperation with IOM and UNODC is preventive in nature. It incorporates the general provisions of the Instructional Plan and envisages the establishment of effective international cooperation.
Turkmenistan's National Action Plan includes five sections describing the planned measures to combat human trafficking, specifying the timeframe for their implementation and naming the government agencies responsible for addressing the identified tasks.
