Turkmenistan summarizes the work of the Interdepartmental Commission on Human Rights

A regular meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission on ensuring the fulfillment of Turkmenistan's international obligations in the field of human rights and international humanitarian law was held in the building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan on January 27. This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During the meeting, the results of the work of the Interdepartmental Commission for 2023 were considered and the directions of activity for 2024 in the field of ensuring human rights and implementation of international humanitarian law were determined.

In this connection, the improvement of the legislative system of Turkmenistan was noted. The Interdepartmental Commission is preparing proposals to harmonize national legislation with the norms of international law. In the course of the meeting, the plan of action for 2024-2028 for the introduction of international humanitarian law in Turkmenistan was considered.
