Victory Day was celebrated in Turkmenistan

Turkmenistan held festive events on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. This was reported by the Internet publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

Even before May 9, Turkmenistan started honoring war veterans, schools held meetings with war and labor veterans, exhibitions, concerts and ceremonial rulings.

To pay tribute to the fallen soldiers, residents and guests of the capital came to the "Halk hakydasy" memorial complex. Here people honored the memory of those who are no longer alive: the monument "Milletiň ogullary" is dedicated to those who fell for the Motherland, the memorial "Baky şöhrat" - to those who died in the Great Patriotic War, and the monument "Ruhy tagzym" - to the victims of the Ashgabat earthquake.

On May 9, the National Anthem of Turkmenistan was played on the square of the Ashgabat Memorial Complex. After that, the Honor Guard Company marched in a parade march.

Solemn events in honor of Victory Day were held in all cities of the country, flowers were laid to memorials and monuments.
