The results of the work of the Interdepartmental Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO for 2023 were summarized

The results of the Commission's work for 2023 were summarized and the main directions of activities for the coming period were determined. In 2023, Turkmenistan and UNESCO signed 4 international documents. With the assistance of UNESCO, Turkmenistan's national values were included in the UNESCO World Heritage List; Turkmenistan was elected a member of the UNESCO Intergovernmental Committee on Physical Culture and Sport for 2023-2027; UNESCO Chairs were opened in two universities of Turkmenistan; 6 schools were included in the UNESCO Associated Schools Network; Makhtumkuli's manuscripts were included in the UNESCO Memory of the World List and his birthday was included in the UNESCO list of commemorative dates.

The draft work plan of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO for 2024 was considered.
