The 30th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Russia and Turkmenistan was celebrated in Astrakhan. A festive concert, held on April 6 in the hall of the Astrakhan State University, was timed to this event. The celebration was supported by the Turkmen Consulate.
The Consul of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation, the rector of the ASU, members of the Turkmen diaspora in Astrakhan and public figures delivered congratulatory speeches. It was stressed that the relations between the two countries have reached a higher level after three decades of diplomatic relations. The speakers noted that the strategic cooperation over all these years was based on mutual respect, equality and friendly traditions.
Amateur and student groups performed Russian and Turkmen songs. The event was adorned by a dance performance by students of the Makhtumkuli Fraghi School. Makhtumkuli Fraghi. The students performed the national dance "Kushtdepdi".
