A round table dedicated to the Turkmen classics was held in Moscow

On March 21, MGIMO hosted a round table dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the classic of Turkmen literature Makhtumkuli Fraghi. This was reported by the online publication "Türkmenistan habarlar portaly".

The event was organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Moscow together with Turkmen students studying at MGIMO. The round table was attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Russian Federation E. Aidogdyev, MGIMO Vice-Rector for Youth Policy, Social Work and International Relations S. Surovtsev, scientists, teachers and students of the educational institution.

The speakers noted the role of Makhtumkuli Fraghi's creative work in educating the young generation in the spirit of patriotism, humanism and peacefulness. Ambassador of Turkmenistan E. Aidogdiyev and Rector of MGIMO A. Torkunov spoke at the meeting.

An exhibition of arts and crafts, paintings, books and photographs "The Country Makhtumkuli Dreamed of" was held in the atrium of MGIMO.
