New Year celebrations culminate in Ashgabat

The Turkmen capital became the center of festive events on New Year's Eve. This is reported by the State Information Agency of Turkmenistan.

In the evening on the last day of the 2023 year, a festive performance with participation of children's creative groups, pop soloists and folklore performers was held on the square near the Älem Cultural and Entertainment Center. Residents and guests of Turkmenistan gathered in the squares of the administrative centers of Arkadag and provinces.

A festive teleconference with the participation of young singers and creative groups united millions of residents of the country from different velayats. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov delivered a New Year address to the citizens of Turkmenistan.

The National Anthem of Turkmenistan was played on New Year's Eve, after which the sky above the capital was lit up with festive fireworks accompanied by a solemn cannonade.
