An international conference on addictology was held in Ashgabat

An international conference on addictology was held in the Archabil Hotel in Ashgabat. This is reported by the Internet resource "Westiabad."

The theme of the conference was to improve prevention of substance use, minimize its supply and build national expertise in the field of addictology in the Central Asian region. The event was held within the framework of the EU CADAP program on prevention of drug use in Central Asia, funded by the European Union.

The conference was attended by delegates from more than ten countries of the world, including Great Britain, Lithuania, Colombia, Spain, as well as Central Asian countries. The international event strengthened cooperation between the Central Asian countries and the European Union in the spheres of sustainable development and health maintenance.
