International election observers became guests of Novruz holiday in Turkmenistan

On March 21, Turkmenistan celebrated Novruz, the International Spring Festival, on a large scale. The main celebrations were held at the traditional site "Nowruz ýaýlasy" in Akhal province. International observers for the preparation and holding of the upcoming elections of deputies, which will be held in the country on March 26, became honorary participants of the holiday. In the Novruz Valley, an original Turkmen village with farmsteads and steaming cauldrons was recreated where guests could taste national Turkmen dishes. Participants of the holiday could also visit the oriental bazaar, ride on huge swings covered with flower garlands, take part in national games and amusements. Original performances of singers, theater artists, musical and dance groups were organized.

Among the foreign guests of the holiday were delegates of the international conference on tourism, who came to Ashgabat on the eve of the holiday.
