International organizations support Turkmenistan in promoting the works of Makhtumkuli

On 11 April, the conference "Advancing Peace: Implementation of Confidence Building Strategies between Countries" was held, during which the Head of the OSCE Centre in Ashgabat John MacGregor noted that the Organization supports Turkmenistan's efforts to promote the literary heritage of Makhtumkuli Fraghi. This was reported by the Internet publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

Last year, the Executive Board of UNESCO included Makhtumkuli Fraghi's manuscript collections in the international Memory of the World list. Also, the celebration of the 300th anniversary of Makhtumkuli's birth was included in the List of significant dates for joint celebration with UNESCO in 2024-2025.

The TURKSOY Organization has declared 2024 "The Year of the Great Poet and Thinker of the Turkic World Makhtumkuli Fraghi" and has planned a number of international events in this regard.
