National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov congratulated the Hero of Turkmenistan, Russian cosmonaut, commander of the Roscosmos cosmonaut squad Oleg Kononenko on setting a new record for total stay in space. This was reported by the TurkmenPortal online publication.
In his message, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty on behalf of himself, the President of the country and the people of Turkmenistan congratulated Oleg Kononenko on the high achievement. He noted that staying in space for more than a thousand days is an example of courage, heroism and dedication.
The National Leader of the Turkmen people noted that Turkmenistan was proud of the outstanding cosmonaut, who was born and grew up on the Turkmen soil. At the end of the message, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty wished the cosmonaut health, happiness and new achievements.
