Posters with the image of Makhtumkuli Fraghi appeared at city stops in Ashgabat

On the occasion of celebrating the 300th anniversary of the birth of Makhtumkuli Fraghi this year, posters with his image and lines from his poems appeared at city stops of the Turkmen capital. This is reported by the TurkmenPortal online publication.

Now, while waiting for public transportation, residents and guests of Ashgabat can read excerpts from the famous poem "The Future of Turkmenistan" by Makhtumkuli Fraghi, as well as quotes from other works of the Turkmen poet and philosopher.

The year 2024 in Turkmenistan has been declared the year of "Makhtumkuli Fraghi's Clue of Mind". In this connection, a cultural and park complex of Makhtumkuli Fraghi is planned to be opened in Ashgabat, where a monument to the outstanding poet and sculptures of other famous figures of culture and poetry will be installed. In all velayats of Turkmenistan, various cultural and educational events dedicated to the commemorative date are being organized this year.
