The National Leader of the Turkmen People arrived in Iran on a working visit

On May 30, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov arrived in the Islamic Republic of Iran on a working visit, as reported by the Internet publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

After the flight, Iranian officials and members of the Turkmen delegation met Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov at Tehran International Airport. During the meeting, he had a conversation with Minister of Roads and Urban Construction Mehrdad Barzpash on cooperation between the countries.

Iran and Turkmenistan are developing partnership relations in trade and economic, political and diplomatic, cultural and humanitarian spheres. The strengthening of relations in the economic sphere is of particular importance.

The parties expressed confidence in further development of interstate cooperation based on the principles of mutual respect and good-neighborliness.
