Ombudsman of Turkmenistan participated in the ATF Annual Seminar

The participation of the Ombudsman of Turkmenistan in the Annual Seminar of the Asia-Pacific Forum (APF) took place within the framework of a special program to support the accreditation of national human rights institutions. This is reported on the official website of the Ombudsman of Turkmenistan.

The annual seminar was held in the capital of Thailand. The implementation of the project to enhance the institutional capacity of the Office of the Ombudsman is carried out jointly with UNDP.

Ombudsmen from other countries in the Asia-Pacific region, including Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, also participated in the two-day workshop in Bangkok.

The meeting discussed topical issues related to accreditation of NHRIs. Participants and experts shared their opinions and experience in this area.
