On July 6, 2024, UN Secretary-General António Guterres attended the opening of the Mirap building in Ashgabat, which will be handed over to the UN office in Turkmenistan. This is reported by the online edition "Turkmenistan: The Golden Age."
The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of Turkmen ministries and agencies, employees of UN missions in Turkmenistan, rectors and teachers of the largest Turkmen universities, as well as representatives of the media.
During the ceremony, António Guterres thanked the President of Turkmenistan and the Government of Turkmenistan for many years of support in their work and all possible assistance. The UN Secretary-General expressed confidence that the constructive partnership between the UN and Turkmenistan will continue in a wide range of areas.
