Global G.A.P. to work with Turkmenistan on aquaculture

Global G.A.P., an independent organization that defines standards for voluntary certification of agricultural products in the world, plans to work with Turkmenistan in the field of aquaculture development. This was reported by Trend news agency, citing the words of the organization's technical manager in Central Asia and Latvia Edita Strazdina.

The technical manager also reported on plans to train a new version of the organization's flagship comprehensive security standard. In addition, it is planned to introduce supply chain standards. As Edita Strazdina noted, Global G.A.P. intends to strengthen constructive cooperation with Turkmenistan. She told about formation of a working group in the country to ensure that local requirements are taken into account during certification.

The Global G.A.P. voluntary certification program covers all phases of agricultural operations, from seed and feed production to finished agricultural products.
