Turkmen Ambassador to the Russian Federation Esen Aidogdiyev met with Director General of the Tretyakov Gallery Elena Pronicheva on February 16 on cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian sphere. This was reported by the online edition of Vestiabad.ru.
The Turkmen diplomat informed about the planned cultural events at the national and international levels in connection with the celebration of the 300th anniversary of the birth of Makhtumkuli Fraghi and the declaration of 2024 in Turkmenistan as the year of "The Treasure of Makhtumkuli Fraghi's Mind".
The parties considered the prospects of holding an exhibition of works by Turkmen artists and sculptors in the Tretyakov Gallery in the near future. At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to hold consultations between the staff of the Tretyakov Gallery and representatives of relevant departments of Turkmenistan on the organization of an exhibition in the gallery in 2026.
