Forum organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Ankara

An international scientific forum dedicated to the declaration of 2024 as the year of the "Treasure of the Mind of Makhtumkuli Fraghi" in Turkmenistan was held in Ankara. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The event was organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Turkey together with the University of Social Sciences of Ankara and the Union of Engineers and Architects of the Turkic World. The conference was attended by representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in Ankara, heads of socio-political organizations, media representatives, scientists and artists.

During the conference, the participants highly appreciated the role of creative heritage of Makhtumkuli Fraghi. It was noted that the declaration of 2024 as the "Year of the Great Poet and Thinker of the Turkic World Makhtumkuli Fraghi" at the meeting of the Permanent Council of TURKSOY, as well as the inclusion of the 300th anniversary of the birth of Makhtumkuli Fraghi in the UNESCO List of Commemorative Dates confirms the recognition of his work at the international level.
