On January 11, 2023, the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a working visit to Mary province. The National Leader held a working meeting with local leaders to discuss topical issues of socio-economic development of the region. This is reported by the State Information Agency of Turkmenistan.
Special attention was paid to agriculture - such aspects as land reclamation, increase of cotton and wheat yields. Chairman of Halk Maslahaty gave recommendations on introduction of advanced technologies and digital systems in the agricultural sector in order to increase its efficiency.
The issue of quality construction of production and social facilities in the region was also raised at the meeting. Special attention was paid to the upcoming events on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Turkmen poet Makhtumkuli Fraghi to promote the spiritual development of young people.
At the end of the working visit, the National Leader emphasized the importance of effective feedback between the state authorities and citizens.
