Pakistani Prime Minister meets with Turkmen delegation

On June 8, Prime Minister of Pakistan Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif received a Turkmen delegation headed by State Minister, Chairman of the State Concern "Turkmengaz" Maksat Babayev. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the implementation of large-scale joint projects, in particular, the TAPI gas pipeline and TAP power transmission lines. The parties signed the Joint Plan on Accelerated Construction of the TAPI gas pipeline.

In addition, the Turkmen delegation met with General Asim Munir, Chief of Staff of the Pakistan Army. During the meeting, the General was also informed about the progress in the implementation of the TAPI gas pipeline and TAP transmission line projects, after which he expressed support to Turkmenistan in this direction.
