On May 24, during the meeting of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov with Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin, the guest conveyed warm words of greetings from Russian President Vladimir Putin to the Head of Turkmenistan and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, who emphasized the interest of the Russian side in comprehensively deepening the productive interstate dialogue established in recent years.
Warmly welcoming the head of the Government of the friendly country to the hospitable Turkmen land, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov conveyed his best wishes to his Russian counterpart, expressing confidence that during the current visit of the Russian Prime Minister there will be an opportunity to discuss the main aspects and prospects of further mutually beneficial partnership between our countries, as well as to identify priority areas of cooperation within the framework of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
As it was noted during the meeting, Turkmen-Russian cooperation is successfully developing in trade-economic and scientific-technical spheres, in fuel and energy sector, shipbuilding, agro-complex, textile industry, transportation and many other spheres.
It was noted that in recent years a steady dialog has been established between representatives of legislative power, humanitarian sphere, where a special place is given to partnership in the field of education, science, health and culture.
In the course of the conversation, which took place in a confidential and constructive manner, the sides emphasized the importance of comprehensive deepening of traditional political-diplomatic, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian ties and expressed confidence in further successful continuation of multifaceted cooperation that meets the national interests of the two friendly countries and their fraternal peoples.
