The President of Turkmenistan participated in the Consultative Meeting of the Heads of the Central Asian States

On September 14 this year, the Consultative Meeting of the Heads of Central Asian States was held, attended by President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev as a guest of honor. This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

In his speech, Mr. Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of partnership of CA countries. He emphasized that the UNGA Resolution on declaring CA a Zone of Peace is of special importance in this regard. Establishment of the Dialogue on Security and Cooperation in Central Asia under the auspices of the UN was called an important initiative during the forthcoming 78th session of the UNGA.

Another initiative of Turkmenistan was the establishment of the Regional Center for Climate Change Technologies in Central Asia. Turkmenistan expressed its readiness to provide a platform to host this structure in Ashgabat.
