The President of Turkmenistan visited a number of new buildings in Ashgabat to learn about their progress. The facilities are scheduled for commissioning during the celebration of the 140th anniversary of the Turkmen capital and the 30th anniversary of the country's independence.
The Turkmen leader toured the Ashgabat-Turkmenebat high-speed motorway. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov familiarized himself with both the construction of the highway itself and the development of the surrounding area. The President stressed the importance of improving the transport and communications infrastructure not only in the capital city, but throughout the country, giving a number of specific instructions to officials in this direction.
The Ashgabat-Turkmenebat highway will eventually have to connect with the Ashgabat-Turkmenbashi highway. This will connect the center of Turkmenistan with its eastern part and provide a direct transport connection to the International Sea Port in Turkmenbashi.
Continuing his familiarization flight by helicopter, the country's leader inspected a cottage complex located in the northern part of Ashgabat. The construction of this housing estate is already at the finish line - all conditions for comfortable living will be created in it.
The national leader's helicopter flew on to the Karakum Hotel and then took the President to the Ashgabat shopping mall. On his way to the southern part of the capital, the Turkmen leader surveyed the territory occupied by green spaces, inspecting their upkeep and the progress of landscaping work.
The Arkadag Hotel and the surrounding area were also among the objects of interest to the President. The head of state noted that the new buildings being built on this territory form a single harmonious whole.
