President of Turkmenistan meets with the Governor of St. Petersburg

On December 25, 2024, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Governor of the city Alexander Beglov met at the airport of St. Petersburg. During the meeting, the governor spoke about plans to install a monument "Friendship" in Ashgabat, dedicated to the gratitude of the Turkmen people for the acceptance of the residents of the siege of Leningrad. The sides exchanged views on the prospects of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Russia in various areas. The interlocutors emphasized the importance of participation of the Vozrozhdenie Group of Companies from St. Petersburg in the creation of mudflow drainage structures in the Turkmen capital, as well as in the construction of road infrastructure. The effective partnership with Power Machines was noted.

The sides also touched upon cooperation in the field of higher education.
