Avaza, August 6 - Arzuw.news. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Patrushev in the tourist zone Avaza. This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The Russian Deputy Prime Minister arrived in the republic to participate in the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries. During the meeting, Patrushev conveyed greetings from Russian President Vladimir Putin to the Head of Turkmenistan and the National Leader of the Turkmen people.
President Berdimuhamedov expressed gratitude for the participation of the Russian delegation in the international forum and conveyed reciprocal wishes to the Russian leader. The parties noted that holding the conference in Turkmenistan confirms the republic's commitment to the sustainable development of landlocked states.
The interlocutors noted with satisfaction the effectiveness of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries in the transport, energy and industrial sectors. The head of Turkmenistan emphasized the focus on further expansion of multifaceted cooperation with Russia and wished Patrushev good health and success in his work.
