Serdar Berdymukhamedov has left on a working visit to the Russian Federation. He is expected to attend an informal summit of the heads of the Commonwealth of Independent States in St. Petersburg. This was reported by the state news agency "Turkmenistan Today.
The departure for the summit took place from the International Airport of the capital of Turkmenistan, where Serdar Berdymukhamedov was escorted by officials.
Neutral Turkmenistan has been an associate member of the CIS for many years, contributing to finding solutions to important challenges of our time and establishing peace and stability. The country has consistently taken an active part in the activities of the Commonwealth, building a constructive dialogue with the states on the principles of equality, paying attention to the national features, traditions and customs of the peoples.
The informal summit in St. Petersburg will address current topics on the international agenda.
