President of Turkmenistan expresses condolences to the King of Morocco

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed condolences to King Mohammed VI of Morocco in connection with the strongest earthquake, which caused human casualties, injuries and destruction. This is reported by the online edition of "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

In his message, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on behalf of the Turkmen people, the Government of the country and on his own behalf wished speedy recovery to the victims of the natural disaster and expressed sympathy and support to the families of the victims.

The earthquake with a magnitude of 6.9 occurred near the province of Marrakech. According to the Moroccan Interior Ministry, as a result of the natural disaster, 820 people were killed and another 672 were injured. The historic part of Marrakech, recognized as a UNESCO heritage site, was partially destroyed.
