Turkmenistan and Slovakia discuss cooperation at UN conference

Turkmenistan and the Slovak Republic intend to continue mutually beneficial cooperation

Ashgabat, August 8 - Arzuw.news. Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Ahmet Gurbanov met with Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to Turkmenistan Viktor Borecki on the margins of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries. This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During the talks, the sides assessed the current state of bilateral cooperation between Turkmenistan and Slovakia and identified priority areas for further development of relations between the two countries.

The participants of the meeting exchanged views on the achievements of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Countries and reached agreements to continue cooperation on international platforms.

The diplomats noted the effectiveness of Akhmet Gurbanov's visit to the Slovak Republic in 2024, within the framework of which political consultations and bilateral meetings were held.

The Slovak side expressed interest in participating in the International Forum of Peace and Confidence, which is planned to be held in Ashgabat in December 2025 in honor of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality.
