Head of Turkmenistan meets with EBRD Vice-President

Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Vice President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Mark Bowman held talks. This was reported by the TurkmenPortal online edition.

During the meeting, the long-term and productive nature of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the EBRD was noted, promising areas of further cooperation were outlined, one of which is the energy sector. The possibility of EBRD participation in the implementation of projects in Turkmenistan in the field of "green" and sustainable energy was considered.

One of the promising areas of cooperation was named the transport and logistics sector, in particular, the activation of international communication on the Caspian Sea by increasing the capacity of the Turkmenbashi seaport. The talks also focused on cooperation in agriculture, banking and the private sector.
