Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov met with Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Alireza Bikdeli on Monday, February 6. The sides discussed issues related to the expansion of political, trade, economic and cultural cooperation between the two countries. This is reported on the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
During the talk, the sides expressed hope that further partnership of the states will be actively developed within the framework of interaction of organizations of regional and international level. The proposal to strengthen inter-parliamentary cooperation by organizing mutual visits of the heads of parliaments and inter-parliamentary friendship group was considered.
The diplomats discussed the activities of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Iranian Commission on Economic Issues, which is scheduled to meet on February 15-17, 2023.
