On June 21, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, where a number of issues of state life were put on the agenda, TDH reports.
Chairperson of Mejlis D. Gulmanova informed about the preparation of the draft of the new edition of the Civil Code, as well as about the introduction of amendments and additions to the Budget and Sanitary Codes, the Laws "On Physical Culture and Sports", "On State Scientific and Technical Policy", "On Seed Production".
In the course of the meeting the reports on the realized practical steps on improvement of the statistical system, application of new methods of data collection and processing, implementation of digital technologies were delivered.
As noted, the State Statistics Committee together with UNDP has developed a project of special software, which is proposed to be put into operation on a pilot basis from July 1 of this year, and from October 1 - fully operational.
In his report, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Amanov talked about the measures taken by the State Concern "Türkmengaz" for the effective functioning of gas pipelines.
Then, the President reported on the progress of seasonal work in the fields of the country, on the comprehensive steps taken by the Ministry of Industry and Construction Production to fulfill the instructions given by the President of Turkmenistan to establish the production of import-substituting products.
In connection with the increase in the number of residential buildings and modern facilities of various purposes being built in the country, taking into account the growing need for elevators, the head of state submitted a proposal to establish a joint venture for the production of elevators and special production for repair and maintenance.
During the meeting, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Atdaev reported on the ongoing preparations for the business forum "Turkmenistan - United Arab Emirates", scheduled for June 25 this year in Ashgabat, which will be attended by companies specializing in energy, digital technologies, trade, agriculture, food industry, construction and tourism.
Taking into account the increasing number of housing estates and the wishes of the capital's population, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers M. Mammadova reported on the ongoing work on the construction of a new building of the Children's School of Arts in Ashgabat. In this regard, a relevant proposal was submitted to the head of state for consideration.
During the meeting, the head of Turkmenistan signed a decree "On approval of the procedure for organizing and conducting state accounting of scientific programs (projects), plans and reports on scientific activity.
Then, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs R. Meredov reported on the steps taken to further develop Turkmenistan's cooperation with the UN Economic Commission for Europe (ECE) and the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP).
Director General of the Agency of Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers M. Chakyev reported on the ongoing work on training of specialists of international level for civil aviation.
Concluding the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on the digital system, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished everyone good health, family well-being and great success in their work for the prosperity of the sovereign Fatherland.
